Marquee RamNavmi Special Bhajan at ISKCON BHOPAL

Dussehra (Vijayadashami)

Vijayadashami, or Dasara, as it is popularly known, is a very important festival for various reasons. It was on this day that the demon Mahishasura was slain by Mother Durga. Another important event that happened on this day was Lord Rama’s victory over the wicked Ravana. This day is also known as ‘Dasara’ for this reason. Dasara is derived from two Sanskrit words – dasha (ten) and hara (defeat).

On this very auspicious day, perform Sevas, and be blessed with Lord Rama’s protection and all prosperity upon your family.

We invite you to join us and pray to Lord Rama for His blessings in eradicating all evils both within us and around us.
